IN 2024 WE AIM TO FOCUS ON
FEEDING MINISTRIES→
FEED MY LAMBS, TEND MY SHEEP, FEED MY SHEEP
Feeding God’s sheep: John 21:15-17 and our calling as God’s people.
There are many ways in which Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd works to embody the ministry of the gospel in our neighborhood, city, state, and world. Even a glance through a list of our service and outreach ministries shows that one area that gets a great deal of our attention is feeding hungry people.
In light of the stark realities unveiled by the COVID-19 pandemic, where food insecurity emerged as a critical challenge, we are doubling down on our efforts in 2024 to expand and fortify our feeding ministries. We aim to not only provide sustenance to those in need within our community and beyond but also to deepen our engagement, secure increased financial support, and ultimately, foster a more profound and lasting impact in the fight against hunger.
Two carloads and a big thank you!
The challenge to this congregation was to see if we could fill the Narthex altar with 50 bags of non-perishable food items. This congregation responded by providing 65 full grocery bags and over 50 boxes of diapers.
